Anthropic just dropped a free 33 page cheat sheet on building Claude Skills.

Most people will never read it. Here's everything you need to know:

1. What even is a Skill?

Think of it like training a new employee.
Every time you open Claude right now, it's day 1. No memory. You re-explain everything from scratch.

A Skill is a folder with instructions you write once. Claude shows up already knowing your workflow, your style, your process. Every single time.
The folder structure is dead simple:

→ SKILL.md: the brain. Your instructions.
→ scripts/: any code it needs to run
→ references/: docs it can pull from
→ assets/: templates, fonts, files

That's the whole thing.

2. The description field is everything.

This is how Claude decides whether to load your Skill at all.

❌ Bad: "Helps with projects."
✅ Good: "Use when user says 'plan my sprint', 'create tasks', or 'set up a workspace'"

The more specific the trigger phrases, the more reliably it fires.

3. Skills load in 3 layers.

Think of it like a restaurant menu:
🔹 Layer 1: the menu cover. Always visible. Tells Claude what's available.
🔹 Layer 2: the full menu. Opens when you sit down at the right table.
🔹 Layer 3: the kitchen. Only accessed when you order something specific.

Each layer is a different signal for when Claude knows to load a Skill.

4. The 3 types of Skills worth building:

1. Creation Skills: Make Claude produce things your way, every time. Docs, designs, code, formatted exactly how you want.

2. Workflow Skills: Make Claude follow your exact multi-step process without being told twice.

3. MCP Enhancement Skills: Teach Claude how to use your connected tools correctly. MCP gives the tools. Skills teach how to use them. That combo is where things get powerful.

5. How to test your Skill.

Does it trigger when it should?
Does it NOT trigger when it shouldn't?
Does the output match what you wanted?

If it's missing, add more trigger phrases. If it fires too much, add "do NOT use for X."

You can build a working Skill in under 30 minutes.
Anthropic even has a Skill creator built into Claude. Describe your use case, it generates the file, you test it, done.

6. Where to start.

Pick ONE workflow you repeat constantly.
Get that working.
Then expand.

There is a gap between people who use Claude like a search engine and people who have built a custom version of it for their life and business.

Skills are how you cross that gap. That's the leverage.

Unfortunately, this has led to wasted time, lost points, and misled partners. Numerous KOLs and partners have also fallen victim, losing money due to their involvement with White Yescoin. Instead of focusing on developing a quality product, Fake Yescoin has chosen a path of deception, imitation, and malicious attacks. Today, we break our silence and expose the truth about these scammers who have been masquerading as Yescoin. What they are offering is not Yescoin, but a fraud—a fake entity engaging in unethical competition, trampling on the interests of our players.
