Today we join the world in commemorating International Menstrual Hygiene Day. Let us break the stigma around menstruation and ensure that every girl and woman has access to safe sanitary products, proper hygiene, and accurate information. Menstruation is natural, and a fact.

Today marks more than a beginning, it’s the ignition of 60 bold young voices ready to shape Uganda’s future. 🇺🇬✨
Through the Youth Leadership Academy, we’re equipping a new generation with the power to engage in governance, influence policy, and drive real change in their communities through structured youth parliaments.
This is where leaders are built.
This is where voices rise.
This is where change begins.

Economic empowerment goes beyond income, its about giving girls and women skills, confidence, and opportunities to control their future. It means enabling them to access education, develop vocational skills, start small businesses, and actively participate in decision-making

International Women’s Day!
Theme:
“Scaling Up Investment to Accelerate Access to Justice for All Women and Girls in Uganda”.
Scaling up investment in justice means protecting the rights of women and girls and amplifying their voices. Women make up 50.4% of Uganda’s population, and empowering them strengthens our nation.
We must keep girls in school by addressing menstrual hygiene challenges, promoting reusable sanitary towels, and considering tax incentives on sanitary products.
When you educate a girl, you educate a nation. It’s time not just to invite women to the table, but to empower them to lead. 🇺🇬
