In pursuit of my desires and soul-searching for solutions for our country’s and continental challenges, I was in Kigali, Rwanda , over the weekend. I had several meetings, planned and some sudden with notable people in the development sector, and discussed a range of issues, especially from personal to sports and food insecurity.
Most of the comments, I had resonated well with belief for example, whenever I talk about productivity, I maintain that our productivity is low and my emphasis remains on our country moving from consumption to production.
The Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn @HMDessalegn shared that in their dealings with the Chinese, they found that the Chinese produce 6-7 times what the Ethiopians can produce, and they decided to do something about it.
Today, he recounted: "I can comfortably say that the average Ethiopian produces 60-70% of what the Chinese can do."
At the height of my meetings, and engagements was a gracious opportunity to meet with the legendary Rwanda President @PaulKagame, with whom I had very useful discussions on things that resonate with me every day, especially what is required for Africa to move forward.
He remains committed to the management of scarce resources and serving the people faithfully, which resonates with me deeply.
Finally, I spoke at the Sherrie Silver Foundation's "The Silver Gala". While looking around the hall, I saw a continent on the rise if only we could have the right Leadership and invest in the entrepreneurial, innovative energy of our youths.
Overall, my experience in Kigali have reinforced my belief that the new Nigeria is possible and that Africa, the continent, is on the rise and unstoppable. -PO
Oh my goodness!
I used to be the Queen of Bend Down Boutique aka Okirika. I can find the best clothing and I can spot the smallest hole 😂
From clothing, shoes, bags !!!!
Fellow Parents will be admiring my kids things. When they ask where I got them and I reply kasuwan barci (the famous okirika market in kaduna) they will turn up their noses! 🤣🤣
Me no send! I do what I can afford with my head held high. As life improved, I graduated to buying things from Bambinos (a boutique in Kaduna) and finally buying them when we travel abroad.
Why am I telling you this? Just do you! Do not compete with anyone! Nobody dey feed anybody!
This Security Guard, Obinna Nwokoma returned the 62k he saw on the floor outside a Microfinance Bank in Abeokuta.
Apparently, a market woman who came to collect loan at the bank tripped on her way out with the money falling without her knowledge.
I celebrate good people 👍
MY DAD IS A BUS DRIVER.
It is no secret that finding a reliable and trustworthy driver can be a challenge. You need someone who is professional, experienced, and able to get you where you need to go safely and on time. That's why my father's here for you.
As a father, he understands the importance of safety and reliability when it comes to transportation. He has been a professional driver for over 10 years, and has a perfect safety record.
If you need someone who can convey your properties to wherever you're relocating to, in the East, he's available.
His bus is also and always available for charter; for church retreats, wedding ceremony for group of people, organized group events, etc.
He doesn't drive on speed, because he knows everyone's life is important to them. He renders good services, which will make you return for a good review.
As December is fast approaching, you can hire him to drive your family to their destination.
When it comes to choosing a driver, you can't go wrong with my father.🤍
My Dad's location is Aba in Abia State.

Alot of people are getting visitor's visa into Canada 🇨🇦 and I have heard and seen many things. Let me tell you some things:
1. Make sure you are visiting a family or friend because nobody will give you accommodation as a visitor. You are literally ON YOUR OWN.
Don't sell your properties to come as a visitor because your eye will see shege banza. I already pity alot of people I have seen and heard that are currently stranded because they have no one to help them with basic needs.
2. 99% are looking for ways to convert their visitor's visa to work visa. This is VERY VERY Hard. Alot of people are still stranded till now. Most people who say they will help you may eventually tell you to do asylum.
3. Your best bet is to apply for school Admission and hopefully get study visa and then convert. This is legal.
4. 99% of people you will see will tell you to do asylum. Asylum is always sweet at the beginning because Govt will take care of your needs.
But don't forget that you can be either denied or approved. Denial is more than approval but they won't tell you this truth.
5. Read about what you want to come and do in Canada 🇨🇦 yoursrlf. Desperation will make you regret. I will always tell you the truth I know.
If dem scam you, na you sabi.

STOP PAYING APPLICATION FEES to universities especially in USA until you are sure that you met these criteria .
1: You have all the required documents.
2: for grad students, it is essential to check very very very well whether you need to reach out to faculty advisor/Professor before you Submit your application. This is the point that a lot of people miss at the end of the day you might end up not getting admitted or admitted without funding.
How can you know this num 2:
1: Check the course website thoroughly.
2: Check the Department website thoroughly.
3: If nothing is written, send an email to the Program director and ask.
4: If something is written, then work on your cold mail.
3: Make sure there is funding. I REPEAT, MAKE SURE THEY HAVE FUNDING.
How to check that.
1: Check the course website thoroughly.
2: Check the Department website thoroughly.
3: Check the Department/ Program Prospective Grad student FAQ
3: If nothing is written, send an email to the Program director and ask.
Sometimes you might hustle for research assistant, and that might have direct relationship with a faculty advisor. so even if the website says FUNDING AVAILABLE TO ALL ADMITTED STUDENTS, the supervisor you reached out to might not have funding at that moment.
4: Make sure you understand that there is different between"funding"and scholarship . From my experience, Whenever they mention funding, there is always a clause that goes along it "Funding in form of Graduate Assistantship".
Thesw GA positions are not given randomly because in Chinese we have a saying that goes like 天上有他人外有人、 You need to make sure that you positioned yourself for that funding opportunity.
HOW?
GAs comes in three forms
1: Graduate administrative Assistant. (do you have that experience? Is it showing on your CV? ).
2: Graduate Research assistant: (Do you have that experience? Is it reflecting on the Research and publication section of your CV?)
3: Graduate Teaching Assistant. (Do you have that experience? where you teach? who you teach? what was the outcome? is it reflecting on the teaching section of your CV?).
Studying abroad with funding especially in USA/Canada is not just randomly submitting to every tweeted opportunity but grabbing that opportunity and making it Yours. it is hiring but what will be more tiring is remaining in this hardship situation in the next 4 years.
PUT IN THE WORK.
just my personal opinion , I might not be right. Mainly for Graduate students.
HAPPY NEW MONTH. ❤️❤️
