Foundation 205 is proud to announce the largest number of Thiems grants awarded in a single year!
Thanks to your generous donations, $238,436 will fund 46 exceptional projects throughout District 205, touching EVERY student in EVERY school. We can’t wait to surprise our winners!

This grant expands access for students to learn to code using the Dash Robot and the Classroom Connect coding programs.
This programming includes grade appropriate math activities that integrate current math standards.

Expansion of phonemic awareness and phonics skills is the focus of this grant, which implements a new software tool- Square Panda.
Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade will use the software in conjunction with hands on tools to improve their reading skills. #grantsinaction2022

This exciting, technology-based grant allows teachers to untether from their computers and other devices.
The Merlyn system seamlessly integrates multiple technologies into one central control utilizing voice commands, touch capabilities and a remote control.

These grants support our learners at Madison Early Childhood Education Center.
They enhance the process of teaching the kids by fostering cooperative skills (turn-taking, imaginative play, play initiation), as well as providing new gross motor opportunities.

This grant provided a Cricut machine and accompanying equipment for the Invite to Teach program at York. The Child Development cirriculum teaches students to put their creativity to the test to come up with engaging activities to help the kids learn. #grantsinaction2022

This grant expands access to drones for students in the 7th grade Project Lead The Way class. Students will gain an understanding of how drones are used, hands-on flight experience, and a collaborative team mindset!
