FourByThree has been active for three years (December 2014-2017).
You can check our website for more information about our project, https://t.co/jGNMLh7CX9
We're proud to see our project's results published @CORDIS_EU.

Our #EUproject, FourByThree, was active for three years 2014-2017. More information available in the website: https://t.co/jGNMLh7CX9
We were at the Basque public radio today. Thank you @hirigorrian for showing interest in human-robot collaboration and in our project! https://t.co/6xzCIsHGo4
Jan Ramboer highlights the importance of reflecting on robotic's impact on the economy and sharing the EU's effort to finance R&D that has a positive impact on European society's wellbeing and prosperity.
Final comments from technical advisor Sasa Jevtic, who insists on the importance of the commercialization strategy and the need to count on pilot cases and integrators to approach the market with greater chances of success.
FourByThree's exploitation strategy includes the development of a webshop where some results (hardware, software and services) will be made available, following a shared exploitation plan. Marc and Stefan from GTR explain this innovative approach to exploitation.
Time for Exploitation and Dissemination. Jaione from @IK4_TEKNIKER explains the process followed by the consortium to define FourByThree's exploitation strategy.
The last pilot scenario is @STODT: machine tending in a training environment. Students are already working with collaborative robots, including FourByThree technologies, and will then transfer this knowledge to their companies (mostly local SMEs).
Tobias from ZeMA presents the 3rd pilot scenario: Premium Aerotec, where FourByThree techonology has been to used to implement collaborative riveting of large parts for the aerospace sector. This process, when done by humans, is time-consuming, repetitive and unergonomic.
After Alfa Precision Casting, the Woll pilot scenario is being presented. Small batch sizes, low tolerance, great number of variants... are some of the challenges in this industrial scenario where colaborative welding using FourByThree technologies has been developed.
The afternoon session starts with presentations about each scenario: Alfa (assembly and deburring), Woll (welding), Premium Aerotec (riveting) and Stodt (machine tending). Different FourByThree hardware and software solutions have been combined to achieve the best solution.
To conclude the Safety section, @ahmadataka from @Kings_CoRe explains FourByThree's approach to ergonomics, which has been a relevant issue in our project. Our #cobot helps workers complete tasks in confortable positions.
Moving on to ease of use. Izaskun from @IK4_TEKNIKER presents FourByThree's multichannel approach to semantic interaction, starting with voice-based interaction.
In the last presentation from the section devoted to safety, Fran from @Pilz_ES_PT discusses FourByThree's roadmap to certification. PILZ has conducted several risk assessments, which have enabled incorporating improvements in each prototype and in all the pilot cases.
And now @JoseSaenz_5 from @Fraunhofer_IFF presents FourByThree's projection-based interaction, and how the system has been improved to be more "industry ready". Next steps include patenting and certification. More on exploitation later.
