Honored and excited to be one of the contributors to When Home Hurts, a non-fiction anthology about solastagia. Coming out April 2025, Earth Day! My essay, A Matter of Tide, is about East Harlem, climate change, urban planning, resiliency in NYC, and raising two lovely daughters.
I recommend annotating books, especially ones that excite you while you're reading them. You don't have to write on every page, but just note when something excites or intrigues you. Don't be afraid to have a conversation with the book--it's a rewarding kind of conversation.
@rosewaterframes@thepoetmendez I love to read a piece in pdf format! I find errors much quicker that way. Also use the read aloud function in Word—something about hearing a mechanical voice helps me see where sentences could use some lifting
