@JacobsBen I know it is the prerogative of the club that holds the players registration to set the transfer fee but, £80M and £100M for some of these players. It is getting a bit silly,
@CoxyJJ@RAT1704@NoEducationTax@MossyMosbacher Is private school not a privilege?
Smaller classes, outstanding facilities, access to the best resources, access to “networking” opportunities. It is a massive leg up.
@zhkhi@WilcoFtbl I don’t, I think Liverpool should be more proactive with plat we a contracts and, if possible, extend contracts or sell the player. If a player doesn’t want to sign a contract with 2 years left it is a good indication they are not signing and trying to run it down.
@AmAndAJ70627599@Trivium21c Wow. All that research over the last 40 years and they could have just asked you. Would have saved so much time and millions of pounds. You are gift to SEND children everywhere.
@Trivium21c I feel relieved that, in addition to all of their work in their GP Surgery, they had time to visit every referred patient at home and also to fit in long visit to schools to collect evidence. If they haven’t it is best for them to not fuel silly headlines.
@AnfieldPapers Liverpool should not be papering over the cracks with players like Gordon. Use him as back up. Develop him, but Gordon should not be the Salah replacement,
@CalltoActivism Why is that orange bully allowed to speak to people like that. He is an ignorant fool. The manners of a warthog, the finesse of a rhino. The sooner this man is in jail the better.
@zhkhi@WilcoFtbl I am under no illusions that clubs can make players do anything they don’t to, especially with greedy agents stoking the fire. There does, however, need to be some strategy to help clubs protect their investment from predators like Real Madrid.
@RAT1704@NoEducationTax@MossyMosbacher Another Tory suggesting working class people lack “aspiration” or feel jealous of success. It is just a boring trope, designed to close down the argument about privilege.
@David__Osland The thing I struggle with is how they can accept this salary but feel that it is ok to pay staff at a level that requires supplement by the government. CEO’s would take a greater interest in their staffs pay if it was linked to their own pay. Pay would soon rise.
@GBNEWS@CamillaTominey What insight. “School finishes at 3.30pm. There is still 2 hours left in the working day.”
It is this type of tired, Tory trope that demonstrates the ignorance of people with regard to the life a a teacher (and other school staff). Ignorance is obviously bliss.
@RousingTheKop@FabrizioRomano You can’t give someone a chance who doesn’t want that chance, I would sign a young player on a fraction of the wages but bags of energy and legs.
@YardleyShooting I hope everything you say comes true. Sounds like heaven. People being looked after. The creation of a caring society. A clear and clean break from the boorish ideals of individualism.
@CarinaKJacob He would to take a massive pay cut. I would take him back in half the wages. He is a rich man. He will cope on £10.5M a year. He might need to tighten his belt. Cut a few corners but he will be ok if he drinks less takeout coffee and looks at his TV subscriptions.
@ibrar_dev@RachelReevesMP@bphillipsonMP The Labour government are running private schools now. Managing budgets, juggling falling pupil number (a direct consequence of falling birth rates.).
Isn’t this what Tories want. A free market. The most viable entities survive and thrive, the rest fall by the wayside.
