I’ve been using biozoon with a few of my patients recently. Biozoon is a battery operated device that makes any thin drink into bubbles, which can then be consumed safely! 🫧

As a menopause specialist and GP, every year I see hundreds of women who are struggling with menopause, and thousands more reach out on social media.

One of the reasons I decided to write my book was because a lady called Victoria took her own life in 2021, after a two-year struggle with her mental health. How many more women do we have to see take their own life before this is taken seriously?

The lack of knowledge and recognition of the impact of hormones on our mental health means that many women are missing out on the support they need and this urgently needs to change.

Does anyone know of any articles that state why using spouted beakers increases risk of aspiration? We've always said not to use them, but struggling to find evidence to support this. -Lhara

After careful consideration, the HCPC Council has agreed to proposals to increase the annual registration fee from £98.12 to £117.74. The increase will not be introduced until after a legislative approval process has been completed.

When your tracheostomy patient is weaning beautifully, but then suddenly has new onset swallowing problems it's best to ask your friendly SLT to have a look. It might just be that the NJT is wrapped around the patient's epiglottis!! Easy win!! More FEES trained SLT please.
