I spoke of history and reality. You interpret that from some personal lens of aquintances and subjective to call me jealous. This is very poor thinking and does nothing productive to advance your position.

GO study and research as unbiased as possible the objective facts of this issue. Then compare it to your anecdotal experience and see how absolutely irrelevant it is.

AI is here and has been here for awhile now. The AI race is already lost. They have models powerful enough to steer public policy, control narratives, and reshape society while running PR campaigns both describe it as the means for Utopian societal planning, and simultaneously, the ultimate doom of all mankind!

If there ever was a race to begin with. The race was announced after its development was assured and the framework for its integration into society was unstoppable.

Military applications have been leveraging this tech for nearly a decade at this point. They are being used in weapons platforms, strategic planning, and tactical operations ALREADY. We have outsourced this technology to other countries and have seen its adoption even in places like Iran who have had early models since the Shaw ruled.

This Lesser of two evils paradigm always seems to play a role in making terrible ideas become reality via some false illusion of choice. "Kamala would have been way worse..." type thinking is the real game over issue at stake.

This type of all or nothing thinking and grasping for any choice besides the doom being presented is how nearly every major societal change has been implemented since at least the turn of the century.

Superimpose this paradigm over almost all the major issues since 9/11; at minimum, and you will see this illusion of doom and economic ruin presented and you will find a lesser undesired choice presented to give the illusion of choice.
AI is just the latest in this process of 'steering' public behavior. AI just makes this paradigm that much easier to formulate and implement.
