@TeamAmerica2020 @xShutUpMegGx @IlhanMN Yes, it represents both. The star was changed from the original design though with the intention to include the indigenous peoples.
@MN9_Kels Wait, Somalia and Palestine’s flags also have shapes and colors?? This is outrageous! God forbid our flag have stripes, triangles, and *gasp* a star!
@TeamAmerica2020 @xShutUpMegGx @IlhanMN The 8 pointed star is an indigenous symbol of hope and honor. So yes, the flag absolutely does represent the indigenous peoples of our state.
@MikeScholtz The design should represent the shape of Minnesota, not BE the shape of Minnesota! The flag is already unique and recognizable, and will hold up to the test of time far better than that asymmetrical atrocity. These last minute changes are completely unnecessary!
@rolferd @maxnesterak The asymmetrical design is trying way too hard to look like Minnesota. The symmetrical design is timeless, and perfectly represents the shape of our state without being so awfully obvious.
@DoctorTom@janashortal The asymmetrical is too much on the nose for me, and I don’t think it’ll hold up against time. “Like yea we get it. It’s supposed to be the shape Minnesota” However, I love the symmetrical version because it is a nod to the shape of Minnesota without being so obvious. Timeless.
