-Ash comes across as a lot smarter and mature than he will in different animes, like he's actually learned from the first two series.

-Max actually shows growth throughout the series, going from being the "know-it-all" to looking up to and admiring the dude he keeps criticizing (Ash).
-This series also has the best management of the female sidekick, in terms of giving them a role.

@KimJImagery (You can't pick Pixar or Disney) TBH, wasn't going to. They're kinda better at marketing movies to the point that people have fond memories and nostalgia of them, but rarely are their movies actually great.

@RaphIron Kanto really does have a lot of pretty interesting and intense episodes. Every Gym either had a storyline, or they just had Ash beat them in one episode. (Well some people argue about "beat" but that's a debate for later).

@ArtbyLlutra Meanwhile Vyonaw, Ahlys, and Lanius are from Brightvale. Vyonaw and Ahlys were specifically orphaned in the War of Faerie's Ruin, and were later found by Phantom Jack (The owner self-insert so classic to Neopets fanfiction.) Never finished the comic of them being "saved".

Vyonaw and Ahyls - female Xweetoks, both thieves with Ahyls being less cruel and childish. Sisters.
Starry - eldest female.
