@russbmckenzie@TFT_Antony Russ. Load of milling 2033 rejected for low protein. Friday pm, only option was R.T.B. Sheds full so went back onto the heap. Monday morning, same wheat back onto the same lorry, same driver to the same mill and was accepted! Funnily enough I never saw the redirection charge.
“If you care, care now, not ten years in the future when it’s all gone. We need your support now”.
Making no apologies for how cutting and clear my commentary is. @DefraGovUK@SteveReedMP@RachelReevesMP@Keir_Starmer do the right thing. You are ruining our country.
A tremendous support for the East Herts police barn meet today to discuss the issues faced by the farming community inc firearms licensing.. unauthorised waste dumping…. Cross border policing issues … fly tipping and the concerning escalation in unlawful criminal activity
@richardpayne94@hanslope@Ruralpay@NFUPress@CLAtweets This is worrying John. I’ve not heard anything along these lines yet about our payment. Similar to you we are relying our CS money being paid in December. Two very large agreements.
Christ alive. This is a fucking nightmare. How are farmers expected to achieve government biodiversity/carbon targets without money to get shit done?!
To me "simplify & rationalise" sounds like 'cut'
This is unacceptable. & It further undermines trust

Yesterday, British #Farmers donated 6.6 tonnes of fresh food, which = over 15k meals for Londoners facing #foodpoverty. #CityHarvest CEO, Calcutt: “We were honoured to ensure every donation was safely received + handled with as much care as the time + skill spent producing it."
Can’t be in London today but wishing the farming community the very best of luck. Let’s hope people listen. As a nation we can’t turn our back on farming!
💥NEW JOB ALERT💥
I am very excited to be assisting the Proctor Bros business in their recruitment of 2 new arable operators.
2 extremely important positions, where the operators will work closely together across a range of arable farming operations.
The business runs 2x 12m @HORSCHUK Avatar drills to establish all the catch/cover crops, combinables and herbal leys. Each operator will run and maintain 1 of these drills.
1 of the operators will take the lead on the crop protect role and use a 36m Fendt Rogator to apply PPP and biological feeds to the crops. A trailed sprayer will be used during busy times by the 2nd operator. Both machines backed up by bowser support.
During harvest the business runs 2x @CLAAS_UK Lexion 8800 combines, each operator will take responsibility for a machine.
Additionally, the business carries out strategic cultivations during the summer period. The full time operators will work closely with the wider harvest team to complete these operations, using LD subsoilers with rip and drip liquid systems and a @vaderstad cross cutter.
The business offers in return, a competitive salary, accommodation to suit the individual/family, pension, life insurance, produce from the beef and lamb enterprises and further training and development opportunities.
Ideally you will have a keen interest in operating large machinery, with regenerative farming experience or a passion to learn. The business uses ipads and Omnia software for record keeping and stock taking. Workshop and estate tasks to be completed when required. An interest in / experience with livestock is desirable.
