In Nov 2021 I was asked to be a featured storyteller in the debuting performance series called Untold Stories at the historic Florida Theatre.
I told a story that up till then I hadn’t shared with anyone. Tonight, 1.5 years later, I can share it here.

Mahershala Ali says he’s moved on from ‘Blade’
“I have moved on … I'm good … you had me under contract … if they wanted to do the movie, we would've done the movie. So we're not doing the movie … They didn't want to do it, so they should answer that question”
He trained for over a year for the role

Reminder that last month I released a short film.
Currently working on my next horror short and then I think I’m going to work on something in a different genre.

Yup, I too am checking in for my shift.
There’s fashion. There’s camp. There’s incredible music. Striking visuals. Violence. Converging storylines. Neon lighting.

Clocking in as a defender of Nicolas Winding Refn’s HER PRIVATE HELL, a film that requires you to meet it on its singular wavelength. Pino Donaggio’s gorgeous fairytale-esque score elevates the neon-noir dreamscape. Plus Refn uplifts Charles Melton to marquee level hunk status.

Giallo meets neo[n] noir with a great retrofuturistic look that often feels very low budget in a way that really worked for me.
I miss when certain types of films felt constructed on a sound stage and this really scratched that itch.
The things I haven’t agreed with @Jamellbell on but have retweeted anyway because I love reading someone else’s perspective or even their ideas as to why I’m wrong…not even to change my mind, but to become richer of mind.
Colman Domingo just delivered a monologue that I would normally find a bit cringe in such a way my body tingled for a few minutes after the scene was done. Sometimes I be wanting him to sit his ass down and let us miss him, but then he does shit like that and Im like "Fuck it, keep it going"
