@Martposting They market to as wide an audience as possible, make it as safe as possible for that audience, and treat their workers as cruelly as possible in order to achieve investors unrealistic expectations, which will inevitably fall short.
@Martposting Greed. It all links back to greed. The pandemic was huge for gaming, and investors still want that level of constant growth, even though it's just not possible anymore. But they don't care. Investors want more money, quarter after quarter. So corner after corner needs to be cut.
