First and foremost, I am a Christian. I’m not perfect, but I do try my best to live a Godly life, and I will often times tweet about my beliefs, or about God and the Bible. I also often retweet Bible verses, so be prepared to see a lot of those when following me :P
Jesus said "blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12
@GrueningLuke Yeah, there’s a real problem there. A lot of Christian media (not all of it, but a sizable amount) is too scared to be anything other than a sappy Hallmark movie or make anything grittier than VeggieTales in fear of upsetting the children and Helen Lovejoys of the world.
Just like animation is not a genre, Christian in of itself is ALSO not a genre! It can be a sub-genre, like Christian pop music or a Christian romance, but treating “Christian” like a genre is what’s KILLING so much Christian media and making it feel stagnant and homogenous.
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. ”
Revelation 21:3 NKJV
I mean, compare Christian music back in the 80s and 90s to today’s Christian music. There was a larger variety back then. God is a very creative God! I think He deserves better from us than just Pureflix film number 183 or Hillsong United soundalike number 264.
This goes for music as well; there’s SO much variety in Christian music! CCM, worship songs, Hymns, Sunday School songs, Christian pop, Christian rap/hip-hop, Christian ambient music/soaking music, Gospel music, Christian rock, Christian country, etc.
