@kojimaicmatters -Be nice to look at (goth is a plus)
-Be pleasant and interesting to talk to
-Offer some rewarding action
-Don’t bombard me with shìt tests like I’m trying to dodge lightning
@wafflesOmega It’s maybe a little much at times but what do you expect? Sephiroth has been so popular for so long now that even gamers who have never played FF7 in any form know about him. They couldn’t just do the mysterious vagrant thing again.
I don’t mind the change.
@RealBlakeOwen@Cizzy_mac They don’t have giant beach balls in the back but what they have is still pleasantly shaped and proportional to their bodies.
Better than the fatties we have out here.
@naz_ero And Don Corneo in Wutai, FFS. A whole sidequest full of silliness.
I swear these people put the original on a holy altar when they played it as teenagers and now they refuse any effort to see it for what it really is.
@goodforharriers@RutRemy@resurrectedruid I told myself something similar in 2016 and 2024 and got burned both times.
If there’s too many red flags, it’s not really an option at all. Just an illusion of choice.
@SquireGrooktook@RoseMarieAnon Ok, but that doesn’t invalidate anything I said. You enjoy a punishing challenge. Great. Most gamers do not. Fromsoft being even harder does not make certain NES games objectively easy.
The rest of us understand that you don’t have to go that far for a decent challenge.
@SquireGrooktook@RoseMarieAnon That’s a pretty ridiculous exaggeration & you know it
Fromsoft games draw pretty much the same exact crowd of people who would/did enjoy grinding through super hard NES games. That’s not most gamers. But there are plenty of other games that offer a fair & respectable challenge
@pacifistcharr@CptDuDuBronze@Sebbywebz “The vibes work” “Callback in a series rife with them” etc
I don’t have to “excuse” something that works. Getting so worked up over a small dance number at Gold Saucer is ridiculous and spergy as hell
Piss yourself over it somewhere else, I’ve wasted enough time on you
@pacifistcharr@CptDuDuBronze@Sebbywebz I’ve explained it over and over again in as many words as I care to, and all you can do is flail around claiming your opinion as fact.
If you’re that dense, there’s no use taking this any further.
@Iris224T I would like to like the Aussies, but you are literally the first one I’ve encountered with even a vaguely positive impression of Americans. Can’t be getting into a one-sided relationship, no matter how charming the other person might be.
@pacifistcharr@CptDuDuBronze@Sebbywebz I don’t have to. It’s a vibe and it works in context. Just like Cloud appearing as a mercenary in a different universe, or a band playing a song they can’t have ever heard anywhere in the world they live in.
