Update: We are good, some still working off the past couple of days worth of anxiety (me included). The Tuckasegee river that runs close behind our house rose to 15 feet, jumping the bank and rising to meet the backs of some of the rentals behind us.

We were lucky, it never touch the back street or our property. We still evacuated though, but we are back in our home. While we got out lucky, others are not. We have lost whole towns, businesses, livelihoods, and lives. We are strong and we will bounce back
