Regional Deck Profile Spotlight: #RQHartford 8th Place Mirru playing Pyke 🔴🏴‍☠️🟣

Huge shoutout to Mirru for putting this deck together and having a huge showing at Hartford this past weekend!

I've played 100 games with this list and here are a few of my thoughts:

- Tempo, tempo, tempo. This deck is deceptively fast and can ramp out of control in left unchecked
- I questioned Blighted Battleaxe's placement in the deck at first but now I can admit I was wrong and is one of the best cards in the deck. It allows you to trade one on one efficiently and play around certain matchups and cards
- Falling Star and Void Seeker are the MVPs in this deck. It effectively answers a lot of threats in the meta
- Opening Treasure Hunter on Ripper's Bay is one of the best openings in the game
- Bewitched Spirit is a trap early game. It's better used late game when resources become scarce and players hold onto their power cards
- Switcheroo is a fantastic counter to Master Yi decks and punishes them for playing Primal Strength and multiple Punch First's without playing Not So Fast
- As seen on stream, Thermo Beam remains one of the sideboard cards in the game

WINNER'S INTERVIEW

Huge congratulations to @KaChowFactor for winning the RQ Hartford yesterday!

He was kind enough to answer a few questions about his tournament experience with me

1) MVP deck of his deck was Sabotage. Hand knowledge is key and he said it basically won him every round

2) With the popularity of Master Yi and other decks that run few units, Peerless Fiora performed well in the main deck against those matchups. Super helpful during Day 2 when he was facing those matchups, not so much during Day 1 and the jungle of random decks you'd expect to see in the beginning rounds

3) He felt the mirror match was his best matchup. Between Peerless Fiora and the way he constructed the deck, the mirror match was in his favor and this showed during Day 2 when he won against 3 mirrors in a row

4) Order decks are still a sus matchup such as Azir and Viktor but he was able to get through them early rounds

Again, huge shout out to him and his team for this huge accomplishment!
