Voters in Orange County, NC, will decide on a $300 million school bond in the upcoming election. If approved, this bond will provide essential funding for CHCCS & OCS.

Becky Brown (FPGB) was awarded the School Support and Wellness Employee of the Year Award & a check for $500. The 2 Honor Recipients (given $250 each) are Malissa Bailey (ECHHS) & Paige Clarke (MES).

As we wrap up the month of April, we want to give a shout-out to all of our CHCCS librarians in honor of School Library Month! Thank you for all you do to promote learning, creativity, imagination and more for our students, staff and community each and every day!

The Friday before CHCCS spring break, FPGB embraced an ambitious & exciting Career Day. Students in all grades rotated through sessions with 35 guest speakers & 2 hourlong workshops as they pondered the age-old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Before Spring Break, Frank Porter Graham Bilingüe Elementary invited more than 40 speakers to their Career Day, many of whom represented the Black and Latinx populations.
