New incidents of abuse suffered by Gaza detainees at the hands of Israeli forces have come to light following a news conference held on Monday by the Commission of Detainees Affairs, a Palestinian prisoner's organisation.
Speakers at the press conference in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, provided updates on the conditions faced by Palestinians taken from Gaza and held in Israeli custody.
Israel's defence that the meaning of 'Amalek' has been distorted by South Africa's legal team is, frankly, perverse.
The story of Amalek is the only example in the Scriptures in which God orders the Israelites to exterminate an entire nation.
Benjamin Netanyahu declared:
"You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible. And we do remember."
He said this to the Israeli people in a televised address on 28th October, then referred to it again in a letter to Israeli soldiers on 3rd November.
The Scripture says:
"Now go, attack Amalek, and proscribe all that belongs to him. Spare no one, but kill alike men and women, infants and sucklings, oxen and sheep, camels and asses."
Why would you possibly cite this passage if you were only referring to Hamas militants. It makes absolutely no sense at all.
We continue to march because human beings continue to die.
In our minds was Tom Hurndall who died on this day in 2004, shot by the IDF while trying to save Palestinian children.
20 years later, we are still asking: when will the massacre of Palestinians end?
This is a story about a 17-year-old angel named Tomer. It's a story about a boy whose house was invaded by terrorists on Saturday morning, shot his stepfather, took his step-sisters and his mother and held them hostage inside the house. The terrorists went live on Facebook and recorded every minute. This is a story about a boy who a moment ago fell asleep and woke up to a nightmare at 6 in the morning, one boy that the terrorists forced him to go through all the neighbor's houses in the kibbutz, knock on their doors and ask them to come out. One brave boy who sat upright without crying in front of monsters with weapons, one brave boy who went door to door and tried to convince the terrorists that there was no one in the neighbors' houses. One child who was torn from his mother's arms and from the moment Kem did not see her again, one child whom the terrorists used and murdered with unimaginable cruelty in front of his mother and then murdered her as well. This is a story about Tomer, Tomer Arava who entered my heart and tore it to pieces on October 7th, this is a story about a hero who is only 17 years old and will never return. This is his last picture - a hostage in his home holding his mother's hand.

Britain has been in a de facto war in Yemen for years.
Here I was writing about it 8 years ago!
We've armed and backed the Saudis bombing Yemen, which has
a) killed lots of innocent people
b) caused a huge humanitarian catastrophe
c) not displaced the Houthis
