@IanTnf I will be watching on catch up later tonight. And therefore avoiding social media until then. I have to be holy tonight as it’s Corpus Christi!
@Staplefordtrain@railnigel@YouTube For me his name conjures up repeats of “Return to Evercreech Junction” during the school holidays, in what must be the mid or late 1980s; those and episodes of “Look Stranger” still stick in my mind 40 or more years later.
@salingergregor Because people want to know how to get to their final destination once they arrive in the capital or to double check where in the tube they need to change.
@MadsDavies@McCrimmons I think it is also true that many Anglicans aren’t happy about the clergy cutbacks and pastoral reorganisations, and ever growing Parish Share contributions, or about the CofE generally, sufficiently fed up are they, that people don’t feel willing to volunteer in key posts.
@MadsDavies@McCrimmons Personally I’ve never had anyone not become a PCC member or CW because of DBS. The problem is a dearth of volunteers full stop, from a diminishing pool of people (increasingly so as people are now retiring later and are often giving large amounts of time to (grand)childcare too.
