In 1634, the Virgin Mary appeared to a nun in Ecuador and told her exactly what would happen to our world.

She said it 400 years ago.
It's coming true right now.

And almost no Catholic alive has ever been told about it.

The apparition is called Our Lady of Good Success. The local bishop investigated it. Declared it supernatural.

The Church approved it. And the seer — Sister Mariana de Jesús — has an open cause for canonization.

Here's part of what Our Lady said:

"The sacrament of matrimony will be thoroughly attacked and profaned... the enemies of the Church will focus principally on the children... In those fateful times, childish innocence will hardly be found."

She said Satan would reign after the middle of the 20th century.

She said he would attack from inside the home.
She said the target would be the children.

Read that again. Slowly.

Because she said all of that in 1634.

Now — before you decide if she was right about our time, look at what else she predicted in that same apparition.

She said one single pope would define both papal infallibility AND the Immaculate Conception as dogma.

Pope Pius IX did exactly that. 1854 and 1870.

She said that same pope would become a "prisoner in the Vatican."

When Italian forces seized the Vatican in 1870, Pius IX refused to accept the seizure and called himself — word for word — a prisoner in the Vatican.

She said a Catholic president would consecrate his nation to the Sacred Heart and be martyred in a specific square.

Gabriel Garcia Moreno of Ecuador. Consecrated the nation to the Sacred Heart in 1873. Ambushed by Freemasons with machetes and revolvers leaving Mass on August 6, 1875.

His last words?

"Dios no muere."

God does not die.

Pope Pius IX called him a martyr for the faith.

Every specific prophecy she gave. Every one. Fulfilled.

So when Our Lady of Good Success warns us that Satan would invade the home and target the children — we should probably pay attention.

Here's how it's coming true in real time:

In 1950, about 9% of American households owned a television.
By 1960, 90%.

Mother Teresa called the television "Satan's tabernacle."

Now it fits in your pocket. It sits on your nightstand. It wakes up your children. It tucks them in.

The home has been invaded. Not with armies. With screens. With divorce normalized. With contraception rebranded as freedom. With fatherhood mocked. With motherhood treated like a career obstacle.

Look around. Childish innocence is hardly found.

But here's what almost no one tells you about the prophecy:

Our Lady of Good Success didn't end with the warning.
She ended with a promise.

She said that when everything seems lost — when matrimony is profaned, when the children are corrupted, when Satan seems to be reigning — that will be the arrival of her hour.

Her words:

"In a marvelous way I will dethrone the proud and cursed Satan, trampling him under my feet and fettering him in the infernal abyss."

And decades after Quito, Our Lady appeared again — at Fatima — and gave Sister Lucia a final message that sealed everything she warned about 400 years earlier:

"The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don't be afraid... Nevertheless, Our Lady has already crushed his head."

Do you understand what that means?
The serpent is already defeated.

The outcome of this battle was decided the moment Christ rose from the tomb. The moment the woman from Genesis 3:15 said fiat. The moment the cross stood on Golgotha.

The enemy is loud. The enemy is everywhere. The enemy looks like he's winning.

He is not.

He has already lost.

So tonight — please — pray.
Pray a Rosary for your family.

Our Lady is asking for this hour. She has been asking for it for 400 years.

She is the woman who crushes the serpent's head.
And she is asking us to stand beside her while she does it.

Do not be afraid.

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH FOR EMPLOYMENT

Dear Saint Joseph, faithful guardian of the Holy Family and model of workers, you were once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon my current needs. See my desire to work, the efforts I am currently making, and my hopeful waiting. Strengthen me in my weakness and keep my hope steady.

Please help me find gainful employment very soon, so that I may be able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Intercede for me, that doors long closed may begin to open, and that opportunities suited to my gifts and dignity may come without delay. Guide those who make workplace decisions, that I may be remembered, considered, and chosen.

Saint Joseph, patron of workers and protector of families, pray for peace in every workplace. Where there is tension, bring calm; where there is injustice, bring fairness; where there is division, bring understanding; where there is exploitation, restore dignity. To commit a mortal sin, three precise conditions must all be present at the same time. The absence of even one of these conditions reduces the act to a venial sin or renders it no sin at all. These conditions are drawn from the longstanding moral theology of the Church, rooted in Scripture, Tradition, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The first condition is that the matter of the act must be gravely wrong in itself, that is, it must concern something that is seriously contrary to the moral law. Grave matter includes actions such as deliberate homicide, adultery, fornication, blasphemy, perjury, serious theft, deliberate hatred of God or neighbor, missing Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation without a serious reason, and other acts that directly violate the Ten Commandments in a significant way. The gravity is determined by the object of the act—what the person is choosing to do—not merely by the consequences or the subjective feelings involved. The Church teaches that some actions are intrinsically evil, meaning they are wrong by their very nature regardless of circumstances or intentions. When a person freely chooses such a grave matter, the first requirement for mortal sin is met.

The second condition is full knowledge. The person must have a clear awareness that what he or she is about to do is gravely sinful. This means the individual must know both the moral wrongness of the act and its serious character before God. Ignorance can diminish or even remove culpability, but the ignorance in question must be invincible—that is, the person could not reasonably have known better despite sincere effort. Feigned ignorance, where someone deliberately avoids learning the truth to excuse wrongdoing, does not lessen guilt; in fact, it can increase it. Similarly, affected ignorance, chosen to escape responsibility, fails to excuse. True full knowledge requires that the intellect clearly perceives the grave moral evil before the will consents to it.

The third and final condition is deliberate consent of the will. The person must freely and completely choose to perform the gravely wrong act with full awareness. This consent must be free from substantial external coercion or internal compulsion that destroys freedom. While strong emotions, habits, fear, or psychological pressures can lessen freedom and therefore culpability, they do not automatically remove it unless they render the act involuntary. For mortal sin, the will must give its complete and unreserved assent to the evil proposed. A half-hearted or reluctant agreement, where the person is still struggling against the temptation and would prefer not to sin, does not meet the threshold of full consent. Mortal sin requires that the person says “yes” to the grave evil with the whole heart, deliberately turning away from God in a fundamental way.

When all three conditions—grave matter, full knowledge, and deliberate consent—are simultaneously verified, the sin is mortal. Mortal sin is called “mortal” because it destroys the supernatural life of grace in the soul, severing the relationship with God and making one worthy of eternal separation from Him if one dies unrepentant. It is a radical rejection of God’s love and friendship. Venial sins, by contrast, wound charity but do not destroy it; they weaken the soul’s union with God without breaking it entirely. Even venial sins should be taken seriously, as they dispose the soul toward more serious falls and hinder growth in holiness.

Catholic moral theology emphasizes that these conditions must be evaluated with prudence and honesty before God. No one can judge the interior state of another with certainty, but each person is called to examine his or her own conscience carefully, especially before receiving any of the sacraments of the living, especially Holy Communion.

The remedy for mortal sin is sincere repentance and sacramental confession, through which the grace of justification is restored. The Church offers, by the direct will of Christ, the Sacrament of Penance precisely because human beings fall and need God’s mercy, which is always greater than any sin when received with humble and contrite hearts.

In daily life, the faithful are encouraged to cultivate a well-formed conscience through prayer, study of Scripture and Church teaching, frequent reception of the sacraments, and spiritual direction when needed. Regular self-examination helps one recognize when an act might approach grave matter and guards against the subtle erosion of freedom or knowledge that can lead to serious sin.

Ultimately, the Church's teaching on mortal sin underscores both the dignity of human freedom and the gravity of our choices: we are capable of truly choosing for or against God, and our eternal destiny depends on the direction of that freedom, sustained by His grace.
