Please join St. John's at the Union County Veterans Fourth of July Parade this Saturday (June 27) kicking off at 10 a.m. along Market Street in downtown Lewisburg, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country. St. John's will have the first-ever Orthodox Christian unit in the parade, and we plan to be blessing the route with holy water and Orthodox hymns while spreading the word about the fulfillment of true freedom in the Orthodox Church. Come join us at this historically significant event for the whole family, with a presence of the Orthodox Mission to America. Glory to God, and may He bless America! Come join us for Pentecost this weekend! Vigil 4:30 p.m. Saturday (5/30), and Divine Liturgy on Sunday (5/31) at 10 a.m. Hours at 9:40. Liturgy will be followed by the Kneeling Vespers for Pentecost. At St. John's in Winfield. Pentecost in effect is the birthday of the Church, remembering and celebrating in worship the coming of the Holy Spirit almost 2,000 years ago, to our Church, which continues to this day in ancient and living Orthodox Christianity.
