The kaiser newt is endemic to only 4 streams in the Zagros Mountains in Iran. Habitat destruction, damming of streams, and droughts all contribute to their population decline.

#Albinism is the absence of pigment/melanin in the skin and eyes. In #mammals it is visually represented by white hair and pink eyes whereas in #reptiles it is most noted by yellow scales and pink eyes.
