"Frasier" is one of the all-time great television shows, with a depth of character and subtlety of plot rarely equaled at the time and far beyond Hollywood now.
Frasier ran for 11 seasons after Cheers ended.
The jokes in Frasier were what snobs the Crane brothers were, yes, however the show expected the audience to have at least the basic cultural literacy to know what they were being snobs about.
The over-arching theme in "Frasier" is the pursuit of happiness. Frasier and Niles, despite their enormous intellectual gifts, spend the series vainly chasing it while devoting their time to a variety of elite social and cultural pursuits in an effort to fill that unhappy void. In contrast to their earthier co-stars, whose life experiences have led them to seek and find fulfillment in simpler conditions.
Niles finally achieves his dream of romance by literally throwing aside his snobby pretenses and marrying the sweet, working-class housekeeper while Frasier ends the series still pursuing, also quite literally when he travels to Chicago, ever-elusive and quite possibly un-obtainable emotional satisfaction.
"the government agencies who are supposed to protect our tax dollars are either completely incompetent or complicit in the fraud."
Embrace the power of the word 'and'. Incompetent AND complicit.
The fact this one dude - by himself - can walk into any state and find blatant fraud everywhere he goes proves two things: 1) the fraud is rampant at an unprecedented scale and 2) the government agencies who are supposed to protect our tax dollars are either completely incompetent or complicit in the fraud.
Any drive less than 7 hours is 1,000% better than flying. 8+ hours & maybe it's worth it.
Even with no delays (rare) the drive to/from airport, parking, security, checking bags, boarding, taxing, etc is going to eat up 4+ hours on top of however long you're in the air.
Might as well pay less, not have to rent a car or Uber, bring anything you want, & spend that time in your own space with more control over the journey.
Erling Haaland the last Norwegian player to leave the stadium. Stayed behind until 9:30 PM local time to take photos with family and other fans. He became one of the most beloved players in the sport by Americans during this tournament. #worldcup2026
Frank Frazetta wasn’t just painting a scene, he was telling a story with the book itself.
This wraparound cover for the Science Fiction Book Club edition collecting Thuvia, Maid of Mars and The Chessmen of Mars showed readers on the front cover Carthoris protecting Princess Thuvia of Ptarth.
Only when they turned the book over did the charging banth appear.
One painting. Two covers. One perfectly timed reveal.
You can tell some modern game devs are completely out of touch because they'll be sitting on a goldmine and go, "Nah, I'd rather make my thing."
Then it sells three copies, and suddenly it's the audience's fault.
Brother... this is your job.
It's like a pizza cook opening a pizza place, looking at 200 people asking for pizza, and going, "Actually, today I'm experimenting with fermented beetroot soup."
Then getting mad when everyone walks across the street to Domino's.
@Med1_D1v3r It's a rather easy bug defense, IMO. Turrets and gas will get it done, be sure to where the All Resist armor to protect you from your team mates..
Obsidian making new fallout game, huh. Surely after crushing mediocrity of outer worlds 1, vapid nothingburger of outer worlds 2, embarrassment of avowed and 25% layoffs they will deliver another new vegas grade masterpiece. Then again, couldn't be worse than starfield.
