I’m not asking for money, I’m not making a gofundme, I just wanted to post and share what happened to me. I’m going to handle it and I’ll figure it out. Advice helps and that’s all I can ask for.

I’m moving from Florida to be closer to my dad who’s battling cancer and doesn’t have a lot of time. My current lease was up and I didn’t have a lot of time and based off this place and how it was advertised I thought it was a good place. I should have done more research and that’s on me, I was already going through a lot and didn’t think about it. My friend toured a unit for me and the photos and videos she sent me all looked good. Clean carpets, new appliances, not flooded basement, no cockroaches crawling everywhere. I applied for THAT unit. Gave them a security deposit and a holding fee for THAT unit. While driving here I was informed that unit was given away. And a new address was given to me. So there’s a lot of fraudulent things going on and I’ve only ever dealt with housing in Florida so this was all new to me. The place is not in a save living condition, and I’m currently working on breaking the lease to where it’s not on my record, and getting my money back if possible.

I also don’t think because I post my assets online that I deserved any of this. But that’s just my input.
But I also forget the internet is filled with hate.
I appreciate everyone’s kind words, I’ll get through this. Just.. need to gather my bearings first. 💪🏻

@MemeDosh I definitely do not make that much a year..? and on top of it I’m moving from Florida. A place I could hardly afford as is to Ohio to help my dad out with his health. I’m also allowed to vent about being scammed.
