@TicTocTick Well, I can tell you that here in Mexico it was necesarry to do something like that. Chinese imports are everywhere with ridiculous low prices and are collapsing local manufacturing. Just look into auto industry in Mexico and the amount of new chinese car brands.

@BradMunchen This call is insane, he just basically said that they will not be able to manufacture optimus anytime soon. Assuming, that the design works perfectly. Which doesn´t work. Anyone thinking that optimus is a viable product in the next years really is in the magic thinking realm.

@BradMunchen Not a surprise if you compare Model Y to BYD and other Chinese manufacturers. I can tell you that in countries like Mexico the few market that Tesla had has been evaporated by Chinese competitors. And I am hearing that in a lot of LATAM countries is the same.

@TicTocTick That is why Chinese brands are crushing US automakers. Next year you will start to see a debacle in US auto manufacturers. Too sad. They were the best some time ago.
