@thomasrp93@Dr_Focki Yes. Since draft values charts began, they have always valued future picks 1 round lower for each year
due to delayed value.
Give me $100. I'll give you back $101 in 2 years. You win the deal. Right????
Either way, Philly got a very good deal.
@_EagleTimes You do realize teams value picks at a 1 round lower value per year away. So, Eagles got the value of a 3rd and a 6th for AJ Brown.
With that said, I think this was a great deal for the Eagles, no matter where the 2028 1st lands. Age, injury history, and contract makes it so.
@TjDagreatest_@Savageboston@AlbertBreer You added 4 WRs including a 1st rounder. Go ahead and pay his salary in a WR room which is too crowded.
NE could just resign Diggs for less money, no loss of picks, and less potential drama.
Don't get me wrong, AJ is a huge talent, but TPIR
@mpasq15@Savageboston@ProFootballTalk Your team wasted a 1st on a WR then. Plus added a couple WR in FA. You can't invest that much in WRS. There almost has to be a deal in place. Otherwise NE should just sign Diggs and move on without AJ.
@Alfredo01092423@Savageboston@DougKyed I wouldn't be surprised if it is a 2028 1st and 2027 4th for a 2027 3rd and AJ. His age, injury history, and contract puts his value lower. Now, the Patriots could just resign Diggs and deal Boutte for a mid round pick and be an improved WR room. Philly could get more.
@thomasrp93 The Patriots lost to the Raiders and Seahawks last year. The league's worst and the league's best. Patriots fans don't care about strength of schedule. We care about rings. Got to beat whoever is before you.
@PhillyCentral2@Savageboston Vrabel is to blame for the affair. Everyone who has had pictures for years now releasing them to further embarrass him and his family are to blame for piling on. Once the affair became public, the rest is being done at the expense of his family.
@Savageboston Why do Philly fans think we need AJ more than they need to trade him? Adding Doubs and resigning #8 with the added OL help should be a major improvement with less cap space used and no draft picks lost.
Philly already loaded up on WR room and AJ contract could force Carter out
@GermanSkint@Savageboston@BenVolin Injury history.
Contract.
Need to move
The Patriots could resign Diggs for less $ and know he fits well. Honestly, don't see Philly having a good trade partner here. New England doesn't NEED AJ. Need OL and DL help.
With Gonzo and Maye contracts .. AJ isn't a perfect fit.
@Brambrae@LosTalksPats@CameronWolfe If you can build a roster in free agency and draft, why is trading so important??? You have to pay a guy and lose a fairly requisite amount of talent/draft capital. I think the team built a nice first wave last year. Now they will get younger and fine tune.
@RapSheet@kguregian I love all the comments from people who probably only watched him in the Super Bowl and listen to SAS. Campbell wasn't the same when he returned from injury. MANY top LTs have difficult first years. They play 4 top 6 defenses in the playoffs and Will struggled.
I trust Scar
@RSherman_25 The NFL said the ball came loose immediately as he hit the ground which he has to survive to catch it. Like the tuck the play, it looks to be the right call.
@RdMLongo @SavageSports_ @TomPelissero Terrible news for the entire NFL. Patriots v Denver or Houston v Denver would be a great AFCC but with Nix out, it's not as good.
