This is why I'm so adamant about preserving the artistic direction of a game, and why remakes and remasters almost always miss the mark in a hundred little ways that add up to a different picture entirely.
@phabiogon@dossiedofelipe Different time and circumstances. This decision was made around the mid 1900s. The burn out was basically a "hey, you need to replace this" sign because running lightbulbs for too long had diminishing returns.
Planned obsolesces can be an issue, but this is a very poor example.
@phabiogon@dossiedofelipe This one isn't quite true.
Old lightbulbs last longer, but it also drained more energy the older it got, and was dimmer.
In order to avoid people thinking "longer = better," the companies agreed to a planned obsolescence so the optimal life span was used, then replaced on time.
@Juhwooce I'd run spirit still, gun Graves was always the worst way to play her just because of how boring it was. Decay is interesting though, that is something I haven't seen yet.
@FredTheFinch0 I had an Apollo on my team yesterday right after the patch fighting a Mina in the air like an episode of DBZ lmao
It was amusing, but it feels weird that he's able to sustain floating in the air that long.
@kiyumiTRASH@A_Absol_Enjoyer Or Mo & Krill, or Mirage, or Victor, or Seven, or Infernus... List goes on and on.
Assuming you can play the game well enough, every character is pretty simple. It's just a massive cope that they suck at the game and refuse to get better.
