I love how Claude puts FINAL” in the file name the first time it generates a document for me in a new project. So charmingly optimistic.
Six days later it’s like “V87 4.0 FINAL_COMPLETE_AMENDED_USE_THIS_PLEASE_GOD_NO_MORE” and we’re both about to kill each other.
Charlie Kirk was just the second news topic this year (aside from Trump) to have more than 100M monthly PVs by US readers in @Taboola Topic Insights.
The other was NFL Draft with 115M PVs in April.
US news readership about the Pope on @Taboola Topic Insights has basically doubled each of the four previous 30-minute windows. Predictions as to when it will cool off?
12-12:30 pm - 647k PVs
12:30-1 pm - 1.3M PVs
1-1:30 pm - 2.4M PVs
1:30-2 pm - 4.2M PVs
April readership trends on @taboola Topic Insights:
📈 Interest in tariffs doubled
🫥 Shedeur Sanders PVs > Pope Francis PVs
💡 Social Security is a sneaky powerhouse that your news org probably isn't covering enough
Oct was just the 3rd time this year that Trump didn't get the most monthly readership in @Taboola Topic Insights. The other two:
Feb - Super Bowl (Trump was 2nd)
April - Solar Eclipse (NFL Draft was 2nd, Trump was 3rd)
Yesterday's readership of news articles about @KamalaHarris accounted for more than 1/3 of the traffic we've seen in the past 90 days.

First time I've seen articles about Biden with more PVs than articles about Trump over a 7-day period in @taboola Topic Insights.
For scale, the 35M PVs to articles about Biden last week is more than we've measured for that topic any individual calendar month so far this year.
We've spent 3 years at @taboola developing a robust personalization product for news sites.
Many thanks to our partners @GrayTelevision whose fantastic content and local news teams worked with us through growing pains 🙏
These engagement gains are real! https://t.co/Vy2tmsZkVg
May I present some April @Taboola Topic Insights data?
->The eclipse was the highest PV topic in a calendar month so far in 2024
->Meanwhile the NFL draft had nearly the same level of readership as the Super Bowl
->Caitlin Clark is the most read about athlete since Travis Kelce
In my many years looking at @Taboola Newsroom Topic Insights, this may be the first time I've seen two science topics dominating readership at the same time. Move over sports and politics🖖
Finding ways to humanize the data is important. “The words you use [in the newsroom] matter, and how you present the data matters. Don’t talk about page views as page views, or uniques as uniques. Those are people on the other end reading.”#ONA22EditorialAI
