An elite evening for Erik at Purdue, dining at the table with the former US Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams. Pretty cool having a “good luck with med school” message from the Former Surgeon General himself! 📚🌟🇺🇸 ! #Purdue#Boilerup
@JennJVN@ryan_hassett@WheresTheJammm@IvisonJ That’s so cool! They are so lucky to have so many doors available to them through languages!!!!! It makes a big world so connected! 💫😊
@JennJVN@ryan_hassett@WheresTheJammm@IvisonJ UdeM I’d awesome and so is Montreal! 😜 Mine only want English after 18+ years in French language! 🤣 I had one graduate in the UK. One on a full ride academic in the USA (only way feasible $) and one investigating CA, NL (for English programs) and Ireland! Love the expat life!
@WheresTheJammm@JennJVN@ryan_hassett@IvisonJ I can’t speak for Jenn, but I think other CA provinces could benefit for exchange programs like ours b/w FR -> CA. For us as French $9000 per year tuition is an ENORMOUS amount of money. University is free here, but we might welcome the opportunity to become bilingual in English.
@JennJVN@ryan_hassett@WheresTheJammm@IvisonJ That’s wonderful for him! UdeM and McGill are in my daughter’s list in the future. My kids are French and dream of mastering English fluency at a Uni level. Quebec is such a perfect solution for both languages! It is expensive though at 9k and I hope it doesn’t go up! 😭
@JennJVN@ryan_hassett@WheresTheJammm@IvisonJ I agrée that they should be « grandfathered » into the initial rate. This happened to our family with the Brexit- EU tuition in the UK. The -$9000 CAD is still a lot of money for French families when Uni is free here in France!
@MarcoWilsone@IvisonJ Yes. It is nearly free for Quebec students to go to University here in France. Actually the $9000 CAD is already very expensive for French families. Higher education is fully funded here.
@IvisonJ@WheresTheJammm Thanks @IvisonJ I was wondering if the French National rate for McGill/Concordia would remain at $9000. I am French and believe it or not this is still very expensive for us. We have free higher education for qualifiers in FR, but McGill has always attracted our eye.
