Update no longer requiring restart on boot is a W
I really hope they bring Enhanced FOV to console too though, that genuinely sounds like an in game advantage
Okay I'm at it again.

30 minutes of how I would improve the maps featured in the MW4 Beta.
It feels like there's an entire aspect of intrigue missing from MW4 so I thought I'd come up with some fixes that could improve the maps before launch.
I did my time on the MW4 beta.
Final thoughts for @CallofDuty/@InfinityWard. I thought the beta showed real potential. This game could really be something special, especially for Modern Warfare fans. What's needed now is to make the TTK faster again, pull back SBMM quite a bit (it is way too restricted. As you can see, I backed out a lot), keep week 2 aim assist and movement, and make sure some larger maps are coming at launch. I liked what I played, but these changes are needed to make sure Modern Warfare fans stick around past season 1.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to test and rip your game apart. I know it is an impossible task to make this whole community happy. These are just my thoughts. See you in October!
@KARNAGEclan Why can’t any of the newer MW games look like this game? They nailed everything, hit marker sound, graphics, font. Few bad MP decisions cost this game.
Some immediate impressions for Week 2 of the MW4 Beta (MP Only):
- I love no Tac Sprint by default, perhaps base sprint could have used a slight boost to compensate (not just with knife or pistols)
- I like the slide changes on paper but it seems like they've also messed with slide cancel responsiveness which feels clunky so I'm not liking that
- I preferred the previous TTK (outside of a few outliers) as this no longer feels like an IW game and I was looking forward to a year of faster TTK (despite me generally leaning in the direction of the slower TTK style)
- Aim Assist feels much better as I feel like I have to work a bit harder to get on and stay on target
NGL they kinda turned the game into black ops 8 going into weekend 2. TTK is too long now as a mouse player. Felt better in weekend 1 all they had to do was nerf aim assist a bit to naturally make the TTK higher with people missing shots. They went overboard and did both. But now it’s near impossible to compete with a robot when tracking during a gunfight even with AA being nerfed it’s still just ridiculous. And for some god forsaken reason they put in some black ops kill sound instead of the much better MW19 one. Also the streaks are fucking god awful in this game. Why can’t I control my Wheelson????
Booted up MW2019 Spec Ops to play OG Verdanks… tell me why the graphics and performance is miles better than what we currently have right now. How are these new engine iterations straight up make the experience worse in every way.
Its BECAUSE the other weapons suck to use now on a statistical level and when factoring in our playing fields.
Generally speaking, a higher TTK creates a stricter meta and from what we can all see (if we're paying attention) is that this game clearly wasn't designed for one.
No one is going to use a weapon that needs two bursts to kill on small maps when the M4 can just kill you in 5 shots with no effort.
You could get away with using the FAMAS on MWIII because some maps actually gave you room to breathe and attack from off-angles.
MW4 maps force head-to-head gunfights where this type of weapon will never excel.
The HAN86 has the same damage as the M4, but at a lower RPM so the now its low recoil is irrelevant because of the lower DPS making it a horrible choice.
Sad. It was my favorite gun last weekend.
The SMG's are now unable to fight at range because you'd have to hit someone 7-8 times and giving them better range values would make them OP in the current DPS meta so they're stuck.
MWIII SMG's had to have better range because so many of the maps were bigger... In MW4 the SMG's would control the entire game due to map simplicity if even slightly overturned.
Now that weapon class has to stick to fighting indoors.
DMR's can drop you in 1-2 shots while you need to land 5-7 shots with most autos.
(Without headshots which the DMR's don't need)
And forcing me to land headshots to kill quickly up close is hilarious when a shotgun will still 1-shot you.
All of this is without mentioning that the attachment pros&cons are clearly designed for the ability to (MOSTLY) trade speed for accuracy or vice versa. Speed is irrelevant when you need to make every shot count in a DPS meta.
So history repeats itself and we'll have the MWIII 0-recoil meta unless they rebalance the current attachment structure...
AND that MWIII meta wouldn't feel good anyway anyway because the entire structure of this game is different compared to MWIII
Im not just saying this because I want to play more, but I genuinely feel like we need a 3rd weekend to iron some stuff out.
Having the AA and TTK changes happen both at once just shifted the way the game feels, and we're heading more in the SHG/Treyarch levels of TTK.
Keep the AA adjustments, and dial back some of the longer TTK changes to see how it feels now. It would be nice to have the IW style TTK, and keeping AA in check is a great way to comfortably enjoy that.
