In this work, the synthesis of TaCoSn was optimized by mechanical alloying. Thermal stability of the compound was investigated and TE properties were measured on sintered ingots.

After the synthesis by arc-melting I obtained many binary phases ( CoTa, CoTa2, CoSn2, Sn-rich). Unfortunately, through arc-melting is impossible to homogenize the sample so we have different areas with the presence of different phases.
