@Lanefab@fabulavancouver My take: governments know that no new building will happen while empty properties remain on the market. Once they’re removed from the market economic activity / jobs begin again. What’s not to like?

@ExploringSpace2@DouglasTodd FYI the neighbourhood stays the same size. And most of what’s being/approved built now is rental not condo which essentially means that future residents will supporting the corporate interests of their landlords.
