I’ve not been to church since the beginning of this year.

I find it difficult to believe because I remember those years when I was burning for Christ, healing the sick, made the lame walk, serving God actively in the church in two departments.

But since I came to Lagos, everything changed, the hustle for survival stepped in, the nature of my job replaced everything.

Even when the Sundays falls on off days, I’m at home sleeping to recover the previous 24hrs. My pay is not even up to a N100,000 but at least it’s better than nothing.

This news is very disturbing.

R*pe in the name of “culture” is not culture, it is violence and a grave sin against human dignity.

True culture uplifts, dignifies, protects, and reflects the moral values of a people. Any practice that dehumanizes, terrorizes, or harms the vulnerable is not culture, it is corruption of culture.

No tradition that permits the violation of women and girls deserves to be defended or preserved. There is no justification for such barbarism.

Bisi my friend was quietly dying of cancer, she concealed it from all of us because she doesn’t want to be a financial burden also she was told when she’ll die.

She hid it all, wont return calls, chats or text, she doesn’t want me to mourn her, she went deep into depression.

I stopped reaching out,

She specifically told her first daughter to call me after her body had been buried so I don’t get to see how much her body was badly damaged by the illness.

A lawyer in Portharcourt was arrested by the police in the course of doing his normal work, omo police lock lawyer up, the lawyer filed for enforcement of his fundamental right against the police officers, the CP, the IG and Nigerian Police force and got judgement. Actually courts no dey use ear hear breach of fundamental rights (I have explained here that fundamental right breach is a serious issue in court).

The court entered judgement in millions in favour of the lawyer, the court then ordered the police bank to pay the money to the lawyers account. This is where the story gets interesting, the bank manager refused to sign in obedience to the court order (maybe he was scared to pay police money into the lawyer’s account, him dey fear police). So the lawyer reported the manager to the court, the court ordered the police to arrest the manager.

The same police that the manager was shielding, arrested him and brought him to court, the court ordered the manager to be remanded in prison until he is ready to sign the document. That was how the police arrested a manager who disobeyed court orders in favour of police😀😀. The money was later paid to the lawyers account, after manager don taste prison.
