'The War in Ukraine After One Year: Prospects for Peace'. @Pjacksdelacour talks at tonight's meeting of the @uofglasgow Strategy & Security Society, 18:00, Boyd Orr 709AB.

I look forward to discussing prospects for an end to the War in Ukraine today. But one cannot repeat too often that this war was started one year ago as a result of unprovoked and illegal Russian aggression. If Russia stops fighting, the war ends, if Ukraine stops … @scga_scot

The report saw a lack of ‘diplomatic ingenuity’ and of ‘adroit and purposeful diplomacy’. Leading some to ask whether British diplomacy could be more like the French. The volume is available online https://t.co/EsxkQ0GhAc

Was good to be back in Paris at the Archives Diplomatiques for our @FrancoBritPast project. Fortunate to arrive for the start of this exhibition on ‘Diplomaties en guerre 1870-71’ featuring documents, maps, and treaties from the archives and private papers including Gambetta.

First time attending a Ravivage de la flamme ceremony @ArcDeTriomphe. Important event marking 82nd Anniversary of the #BattleOfBritain with @MennaRawlings & @MIRALLESMP leading the commemoration. A reminder of the shared history and close defence cooperation between UK & France.
