@vesperdigital @GadSaad This kind of tax is pretty common - it is called a deemed disposal. Could be worse - some countries tax citizens on worldwide income even if they arent residents in the country any longer.

@sairahul1 1980 risk free rate was 13% with a 7% equity risk premium. Today the risk free rate is 4.5%.

That said - the 1980 growth promise of apple was likely just as or more promising to that of SpaceX today. I dont really buy the space based data centres

Disgusting that the highest of all CPI Headline inflationary price increases came from "Administered prices - Regulated" (a code word for public sector, government & municipal taxes, rates & levies). Disgusting because as citizens we are getting almost nothing for this spend..

@mikeschussler We looked at this for Namibia a few years ago, when confronted with the question of why skilled professionals were leaving. The effective comparable tax rate in Nam vs Denmark (highest PIT rate in the world) was less favourable once you catered for education, health & security.
