تصريحات خطيرة تكشف كواليس التدخل السعودي في الملف السوداني

قال عبد الواحد محمد أحمد النور، رئيس ومؤسس حركة تحرير السودان، إنه تلقى دعوة رسمية لزيارة الرياض في يونيو الماضي، حيث التقى عدداً من المسؤولين السعوديين، بينهم مستشار وزير الخارجية للشؤون السياسية الأمير مصعب بن محمد بن فرحان.

وبحسب النور، فقد طلبت منه الرياض التعاون مع قائد الجيش السوداني الفريق عبد الفتاح البرهان في مواجهة خصومه السياسيين وقوات الدعم السريع.

وأضاف أنه رفض العرض السعودي، مؤكداً أنه أبلغ المسؤولين بأن الجيش السوداني، لا يزال واقعاً تحت سيطرة الحركة الإسلامية.

تصريحات تفتح الباب أمام تساؤلات واسعة حول طبيعة الدور السعودي وتفاصيل الاتصالات الإقليمية الجارية خلف كواليس الحرب السودانية.

So #Sudanese lives don't matter to us? Just because they are blacks, and no Jew is perpetrator, and it doesn't bring spice to our news? Right? We talk about #Gaza. We talk about #Ukraine. We debate the Middle East every day. But somehow, the suffering of Sudanese civilians rarely gets the same attention.

When we see Islamist terrorism and extremism rising, we often look everywhere except Sudan.

Sudan has now endured 20 years of war, with tens of thousands killed and millions displaced. And we need to be honest about who is responsible.

The Sudan Armed Forces (#SAF) is not an innocent actor. Its drone strikes have hit civilian areas, while #UN officials say drones used by both sides have struck markets, schools, fuel stations and water infrastructure.

The UN recorded 1,100 civilian deaths from drone strikes in just six months.

The Rapid Support Forces (#RSF) has committed horrific atrocities too, particularly in Darfur. But condemning the RSF does not mean giving the Army a free pass.

And there is another uncomfortable reality: Islamist and #MuslimBrotherhood-linked networks have had deep roots in #Sudan’s state and security structures.

At the same time, countries such as the #UAE are increasingly trying to position themselves as diplomatic actors pushing for stability, rather than simply viewing Sudan through the lens of another regional proxy conflict.

The world cannot keep choosing which humanitarian catastrophe deserves attention. Honestly, Sudanese lives matter too.

If we genuinely want to defeat extremism, protect civilians and stabilize the #RedSea region, we cannot afford to look away from Sudan.

- Egypt takes money from the UK to tackle illegal migration (including from Sudan).

- Egypt is supporting the Muslim Brotherhood-linked SAF, which used chemical weapons against the people of Sudan (a war crime).

- Sudanese migrants are coming to our shores (many of them have committed some of the most horrible crimes in Britain).

- The US is attempting to impose an arms embargo across all of Sudan.

- Russia is acting against the embargo in Sudan, in exchange for a port concession on the Red Sea (giving Moscow access to influence and a physical presence over global shipping and logistics).

- Egypt, Saudi Arabia and China are, likewise, against the embargo, enabling the criminal SAF.

- More Sudanese refugees are coming to Britain.

In short, the UK is paying Egypt for the privilege of receiving more Sudanese refugees.

We are being taken for a ride, as ever.
