Producers aren’t just the best A&Rs, they’re sitting on the best artist data.

They should build a database of the artists they work with and turn it into an A&R intelligence system. That’s something labels, publishers and managers would actually pay for.

The Backup Plan

This is the thing some women do that baffles me and I find it really manipulative. They will be in a relationship, yet they will exchange contacts with the opposite sex who is obviously interested in them & they are aware of that. Then they will keep it secret. Keeping the guy in the friend zone for later. Either as a backup plan, or to use him as a shoulder to cry on, or as a rebound in case a breakup happens.

They could even breadcrumb him to give him hope to keep waiting. While she keeps running into the arms of another guy that treats her less. Secretly texting the guy and exchanging pleasantries, enjoying his humor. Unknowingly to her, she starts to subconsciously check out of her relationship. She starts to punish her partner. Looking for problems where there is none. She starts loathing him and praying and giving him reasons to slip up so she can run into the arms of the one that seems better.

They are alien to the 80/20 rule. They throw away the 80% for the 20%, and unfortunately it turns out bad for them. Finding out the grass was not greener. This is really manipulative af.

Then there are the useless men who obviously know she is in a relationship, but instead of respecting that and backing off, they will keep applying pressure. Not like they even mean well. They just need to satisfy that bad boy ego to feel like they have stolen the woman from another man. Expecting the same experience not to happen to them.

If you are a man who does this, you are a big fool.
