County by county analysis is better than exit polls bc you’re dealing with more complete (but still imperfect! not all counties reporting) data.
The takeaway here is
1. The Trump wave hit every kind of county
2. It especially hit urban counties, young counties, and heavily Hispanic/non-white counties.
#2024rdrc New York Retirement Research Center shows what we all, sadly, suspected. Bad jobs and ageism pushes people out of work and into forced retirement. @basaranduygu@FrankHeiland@Na_Yin_
@NYRDRC#rdrc2024 Jess Hardie @jesshardie Really important research that much of paid work kills. Bad working conditions are linked to the risk of not living a normal lifespan. Hooray New York RDRC. Kudos to Frank W. Heiland @FrankHeiland Rosemary T. Hyson. Proud to be linked.
Ruth Finkelstein (@hunterbrookdale) looks forward to the opportunity for collaboration between the various researchers in the RDRC, such as combining qualitatitive and quantitative research expertise.
