Dear President Barack Obama,

While cameras celebrate your $850 million Presidential Center, Black contractors who helped build it say they are still owed millions.

You promised jobs, opportunity, investment, and prosperity for Chicago’s South Side.

The reported outcome? Filth.

Liens. Lawsuits. Bankruptcy. Businesses struggling to survive. Families fearing displacement as housing costs rise.

The Obama Foundation says it paid its construction manager in full and that subcontractor disputes are not its responsibility.

But that distinction means little to the contractor who cannot make payroll or the business owner watching decades of work collapse.

You Sir need to fix this filth. Now.

When history remembers this Center, will it remember the speeches and ribbon cutting?
