Adequate sick pay for all & adequate staff to cover.
Drink driving used to be ignored but now it’s frowned upon (& illegal).

The patients or their family where not informed and the actually had a factory make extra big extra sticky candy just for this so that the patients had to chew on them for longer. Some patients got sick of them and hid they candy. Some were bedridden and were just fed them

Sweden ran experiments on severely mentally impaired patients where they constantly fed them extra sticky candy and did not let them brush or fix their teeth for years to see if sugar led to cavities. It's the base of dentistry today

Like I cannot stress this enough: your EDS patients do not get proper care. They cannot afford it. They cannot locate expertise. They cannot travel to it. They cannot be seen in a timely manner. It doesnt exist because its not profitable. 3/3 #MedEd #MedTwitter

There is no dr to coordinate for EDSers. Geneticists dx you and toss you. There are no magical clinics w every specialist. And there is NO PT for those of us who dont get better. Once we cost too much $ insurance just denies further PT. 2/3

I went to an obgyn appt today and was talking about pain and she was like "oh well someone manages your EDS right?" And later "oh well you get PT for your hip pain right?" NO. No there are no drs who coordinate my care. No I have no pain mgmt. No I have no PT. 1/3

Churches opened their doors during the below -20 c days. Otherwise people would be dead.
Exposure is a horrible way to go.

One interaction that stayed with me when I was homeless, but in reliable shelter, was the curfews/check in times at the few places available for others.
This during winter & below -10 c outside daytime.
No turning up late, so if one was full you were SOL getting to another.
