@WeWatchedAMovie This was the scene that made me turn the movie off when I watched it. Wasn’t impressed by the trailers but gave it a chance on HBO. I don’t understand the hype about this movie at all. I’d rather do a Last Jedi/Rise of Skywalker double feature before ever finishing this
@WeWatchedAMovie Lol all good! I was confused for a sec I was like I literally said it looks bad bro? 🤷🏻♂️😂 but yeah lighting is the main issue. Thats why Jurassic Park & Pirates of the Caribbean still hold up but something even as technically savvy as the first Avatar is starting to age like milk
@WeWatchedAMovie Basically you can make a great image with low contrast footage if the set is lit intentionally. But you add a brightly lit green screen to it and you can no longer really add any natural shadows or contrast to the image. Add in CGI that also needs colored and it gets even worse
@WeWatchedAMovie It’s a combo of green screens and cameras. Green screens have to be lit evenly which eliminates all natural shadows. Digital cameras film low contrast footage (the grey look) which allows more post production coloring options. But coloring without shadows creates a flat look
@eavoss I bailed on s1 a few ep in. It was atrocious. First 2ep of s2 were better. S/o to Lillard. But will never compare to the Netflix run which stands next to Breakin Bad as my all time fav show. Pair that with an unabsorbable amount of content these days its sadly not winning me over
Dave Filoni says ‘MAUL - SHADOW LORD’ will bring some of George Lucas’ original plans for Maul to life.
“George [Lucas] and I had had some talks about Maul over the years and what his plans for Maul had been. And so I felt [Maul - Shadow Lord] was a way of honoring that future that we were going to have and finally bringing some of it to light.”

Am I tripping or is that his live action head on a CGI body?? Also AM I TRIPPING or does he not have nipples?? I guess if you squint you can maybe kind of see the right one? But wow
@WeWatchedAMovie I read it as part of her deal for signing on to Kills & Ends in exchange for a smaller up front salary was a first right of refusal from Blum for JLCs production companys projects. That’s a pretty common industry thing. It’s just them building a relationship together as producers
@wompstompfilms Aww he looks so cute with his toes pointed inwards like he’s talking to his crush or something. lol. But no in all seriousness this looks fucking sick!

Feel free to look up all these points (I did), but this is the most digestible explanation as to why Paramount/Ellison winning is bad
Here’s a video I made IN NOVEMBER about the Warner Brothers / Paramount situation.
I don’t make content about every single breaking news item. But I promise I’ll help you understand the bigger picture months before others put the pieces together
@WeWatchedAMovie The movies are already being released on 4K, most of the Paramount era movies have been re-released in theaters (1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are all in theaters again this year alone), and it has no bearing outside of the title for Horror Inc or Friday the 13th LLC. So it changes nothing 🤷🏻♂️
@WeWatchedAMovie Id love to have no acquisition take place at all. But unless dems sweep the elections and stop it thats not going to happen. Eventually Netflix and Amazon will probably buy Universal and Sony’s film division. Disney will be left wing, Paramount right wing and all else will stream
@WeWatchedAMovie Filoni is perfect imo. He’s basically George Lucas’s protege. He did The Clone Wars and started Rebels before Disney ever bought Lucasfilm. And in the Disney era.. not across the board but for the most part at least.. if it was good and “felt” like Star Wars, he’s been attached.
