Music and other things I like. Product, lots of Cello, guitarist, guy talking to the sound engineer at the show. Available on the internet at all times.
@Morgause777 I appreciate the kind words! I’ll keep you updated on projects going forward. I took my solo project offline, though I don’t think you’re missing much with the recordings. I’ll be making new ones.
Wasn’t aware friends into clean Doom have a chance to visit Messa for the first time. Melancholic, great guitar layering, and the vocalist Sara is one of my favorite clean vocalists of 2022. Oh yeah, there’s a jazz section in this track. https://t.co/LQgmGx4x1v
@cripincantation I listened to this a few times at release and loved it! Surprised I’m just now remembering it! Def told a friend it was top 10 for me.
@Morgause777 I think vocals still count as an instrument, just separate from strings or percussion. Going to check in with practicing clean practice more, and let you know how it progresses.
@CrxssbreakerX@5layerDave This album was a monster for me. Super diverse writing, and it’s all heat. Band made saxophone sound great for folks that usually don’t like it.
@5layerDave@CrxssbreakerX Love that you asked! My favorite 2022 LP actually came from Alvvays, the pop rock band that kinda sounds like The Smiths. Didn’t think an album was gonna hit me this year, and it turned out I was wrong.
@cripincantation We definitely are! Had all morning to read and write, so it’s nice to socialize. Also to ask inconsequential things like if Post-DM exists. I think it’s just Ulcerate, or Post-Thrash.
@Morgause777 Finding a tutor would be great as you build confidence! I’m likely going to start taking cello lessons again to build skill. But, it sounds like we agree that voice is hard, and made more difficult going between harsh and clean.
@OnlySlams That’s super nice of you! If you’re open to harsh vocals, here’s my favorite Funeral Doom song, off of my favorite album of 2017. https://t.co/kVLJP52WuJ
@alex@fitforanautopsy Awesome to see Heafy led you to them! He’s always been great about working with artists he likes, such as Emperor/Ihsahn, or Code Orange.
Blindfolded seems right up my route, but kept reminding me I haven’t listened to Cattle Decapitation yet. I think that needs fixing.
@Morgause777 That makes sense from my experience. I have a while until I’m as experienced as you, but I feel like spending a bit more time on harsh styles could be good.
@REALSONICDANGER @d00mfr0gg @WitnessesNYC @SpaceWanderess Of course! Oct/Nov, if everything works smoothly. I’ll look up some shows once I have an idea of what things look like.
