Welcome to Franklin to Broad — where dad (John) and son (Gage) throw down in epic Philly sports discussions that might just set the Liberty Bell on fire!
Eagles players claimed off waivers by other teams:
- OT Cameron Williams, Falcons
- OT Myles Hinton, Bengals
- DB Kapena Gushiken, Colts
- TE Cameron Latu, Patriots
Those players must get added to those teams' 53-man rosters.
EDGE Joshua Weru and and DT Uar Bernard DID NOT get claimed.

@asalciunas975@KevinNegandhi Woke up
Had coffee
Went to store for beer (Miller Lite pounders)
Fantasy football draft (drank beer)
Poker game (win quite a bit and drank more beer)
Watched Phils pull it out while drinking beer
All with my wife, 38 & 22 y.o. sons.
Best day of year every year.
@JackFritzWIP They have enough to keep us all believing, but past performance has us also believing they’ll let us down.
Hope they correct that this year!

Our damn middle relievers…
And the umpires!
Turner was safe, called out, replay indeterminate, call stands.
Harper was safe, replay indeterminate, and call overturned! WTF!!
@Phillies getting screwed tonight!
Dolly Parton shut down Barbara Walters and the video is trending.
Still… nobody did it better than Sean Connery.
Absolute legend. A Must Watch.
Many people are drawing outrageous conclusions because of Hurts’ interceptions this summer. These things are going to happen when you install a new offense.
Better to make the mistakes now than during the season. Prepare yourselves appropriately for the inevitable growing pains.
A final thought about Dolly tonight.
(Before tomorrow’s surprise)
It may not be recognized by all but Dolly passing feels as though a particular goodness has left the world, even if only for a time.
What I mean is that in-spite of the things she got wrong, yes she was human and from a very different time and place, she got so much right and in such a manner that you couldn’t help but admire her.
She may well have been the last person that could enter a stadium full of people who all hate, despise, and or disagree with one another only to find they all agree on Dolly and they loved her.
The world needs the nay sayers. It needs those of us who draw firm lines in the sand and stand for what is right staunchly and without soft language.
However, it needs the icon of levity, hope, encouragement, and unification, too. God gave Dolly that very particular job and she nailed it.
We are mourning that societal universal beloved. Now we will need to keep a sharp eye for another if the Lord sees fit to bring us one.
