You’re waiting hours in A&E to be seen yet the NHS is turning doctors away from helping you.

One of the reasons this is happening is because the Government has deliberately capped how many doctors are allowed to train to become future Consultants/GPs.

This year, 40,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 training jobs.

For A&E, doctors had to out compete 13 others for every single A&E training job, while emergency departments overflow and patients wait 10+ hours to be seen.

That contradiction should shock everyone.

And it’s happening alongside a pay crisis.
Resident doctors are now earning 20% less in real terms than in 2008, with Wes Streeting recommending another real terms pay cut this April.

Doctors are being blocked from training, underpaid, and then blamed for a system that’s breaking.

That’s why @BMAResidents are reballoting on jobs and pay.
