@SYSKPodcast I hate to be that guy, and it doesn't make it less weird, but the AU/NZ delicacy you mentioned in the toast ep - fairy bread - isn't toasted bread! It's just regular untoasted white bread with a decent spread of butter so the 100s & 1000s have something to stick to
@simplypodlogica My no-fail strategy for not having to hold babies is to casually mention or demonstrate how clumsy I am within earshot / line of sight within minutes of arrival - Drop my bag and laugh it off as something I do ALL THE TIME, knock over something harmless, trip a little, etc 🤣🏅
One thing that's been on my mind since hearing about this whole @tryguys situation is how much stress contributes to chronic pain, and how fucked @korndiddy must be right now. I get whingey and sore when I have to send a strongly worded email, so this would be agony 🙃
@Greyhoundgirl22@sinead_gill Yep! @HouseOfBoomNZ has great ethically and locally made plus sized clothing, as does Lost and Led Astray, so they are great places to start!
Went to the movies with some friends tonight, so had to put on my battle armour (brightly coloured eccentric lady nonsense and novelty handbags) to scare and confuse strangers so they don't get too close to me 😅
@noturbby__ As soon as the friend started coughing I made her take the kid and wait outside, but not before she had a good wander through my house.
She didn't tell me she had product in her hair either so the colour came out awful, but she had to leave so now I have to fix it tomorrow 🙃
A friend came to my house for a last minute but long overdue colour appointment today, but arrived late and brought both her toddler and a sick friend?!
My house is not toddler-proof, and I am not random-coughing-stranger-proof. It was such a dick move, I'm so mad 😭
@Larissacomments I hope so! It's a pretty excellent interpretation of my clues, and I love that they went all out, so it'll take pride of place alongside my pageant tiaras until I have somewhere to wear it.
@BillGeradts@Armageddonexpo I really do appreciate it so much - I've spent the last 14 years working markets and events, and making it my full time gig for the last 8 of those years, all because you gave us a chance when we were just babies and I completely fell in love with it ❤️
After a big weekend selling at @Armageddonexpo, these photos popped up in my FB memories today, including these gems from Auckland in 2008 - My very first ever stall 😍 Lord knows why @BillGeradts let a bunch of teens have a stall, but it truly cemented my love of the show ❤️
I've really turned a corner this week. I hated the idea of stepping back from doing hair and makeup at first, but we've got so many really fun things underway that I'm super excited about, and I wouldn't have had time to organise them if I was still doing hands-on work.
Got so caught up in making / acquiring things for my secret santa person that I completely forgot that I too would be getting a parcel! Now to re-forget that I got a parcel for another few weeks so I don't get tempted to open it early 😅 #MidWinterSecretSanta
@Ahhmandah I really enjoy spending $30 to visit my Dr to get the proof to give to WINZ that I'm still entitled to $12 per week in assistance from them 🙃
@sarahpolo10 I booked one of my favourite musicians for a little event I'm putting on, and she said she was going to come anyway even if she hadn't been asked to play so I'm absolutely thrilled that supremely cool and talented people want to come to the things I'm doing 😊😍
@johubris If it helps jolt you back to normality, my husband offered to make dinner while I was recording the podcast this evening, and upon leaving the studio I was presented with this 'cup of tea after the funeral' sandwich plate massacre 😅
@Imani_Barbarin It's such a powerful video. I really hope that people with even a fraction of influence among their peers really truly listen and take on board what y'all spoke about, because lawmakers already know what's going on, it's the general public who don't and think everything is fine.
