@Steam4h @NIBOSHI_MODE They are doing that. Its just early access. A day or two ago a hotfix came out boosting nibbler and marrowbreach damage. The collector isnt even in its final biome yet so it likely will get tweaks later in development

In no way does the original keep you feeling equally as helpless and fearful the entire time and thats due to having offensive tools

@OfficeTest5 @Boogalous @Pirat_Nation In mario when you play as a character who cant take enemy damage they limit you by preventing you from using various power-ups that make levels easier. You arent even in mario allowed no consequences and all benefits

@OfficeTest5 @Boogalous @Pirat_Nation Im reading the game design. Killing goombas is a result of life being a resource you are punished for depleting. Being helpless to attacks is a result of life being unlimited and thus needing players to be on guard of predators despite hard consequences of death being nonexistent

@OfficeTest5 @Boogalous @Pirat_Nation Because life is a resource in Mario. Enemies when killing you deplete that resource. So there is a way to manage that resource. Biobeds require no power and once built serve as a source of infinite life. So much so the game repeatedly emphasizes how death has been fully overcome

And you can make your own respawn point anywheres. So what exactly is annoying about not killing them besides just wanting to?

You are a debt slave to an ai that has no consistent grasp of reality and is able to reset your memory if you stray from what it thinks you should be doing to keep you compliant. The planet itself is keeping you weak and slowly killing you.

@SakurakoHikari @Pirat_Nation Yeah, adapt and figure out ways to evade rather than deter. The goal is to feel never fully safe. If you could consistently deter or subdue a threat you wouldnt consistently feel under threat. In the real world hitting something doesnt always mean it immediately runs away forever

Morality and relationships and your words coerced out of fear of the negative feeling of bad social perception.

You get more power being liked because people are less likely to turn on you. The goal is to not let people know you are dangerous
