Without naming 👀 sure everyone is sick of it already…

But I just wanted to say, in the streaming space (not JUST vtubers), it’s so easy to get jealous and competitive even with your friends and tbh all you need to do is:
1. Address it. Tell the friend something like “hey ngl, sometimes I get a bit self conscious/intrusive thoughts get to me and I compare myself to everyone else. I feel like maybe I’m not doing as well as everyone else. - I’m still so so happy to see you thrive though!!”
And ya know what a real homie does? They take that and build you up and cheer you up. BECAUSE BEING JEALOUS SOMETIMES IS NORMAL but you should build each other up 🥺 Those feelings are normal in a typically competitive space - it’s just all in how you handle it.

2. remind yourself everyone does things differently and goes at a different pace. Life isn’t happening at the same speed for everyone. Keep working hard. Even if you’re not as big as some of your peers, YOU ARE LOVED AND YOUR COMMUNITY LOVES YOU. Your hard work WILL and probably IS paying off.

Becoming a mean “friend” that talks shit to mutual professional/business parties and tries to sabotage a friend’s every move because you want to catch up to them really isn’t normal and is very unhinged behavior. Talking down to an artist to bully them into making you feel special and putting less value on their work if they have a higher output is crazy behavior.

“Everyone makes mistakes and is only human blabla” sure - but this isn’t necessarily “just a mistake”. This is a hard life lesson for this person in particular and I hope they learned that treating people like this is garbage behavior that doesn’t get rewarded. This is someone with a personality/possible complex who needed to get reality checked in order to be held accountable for such behaviors. I don’t know them personally, so ofc this is just contextually an assumption - but I’ve met so many people that talk the same way that things were worded in those DMs that ONLY ever tried to change AFTER being called tf out. And even then, unfortunately sometimes it’s only surface level changes.
With the response given, rn it seems like if there are any changes in the future, they will only end up being surface level since someone is lacking accountability.

Sorry for the rant. TLDR - homies will talk it out with homies and it should be ok 👍
