@CriticalZaku@IonaItalia@Quillette@CathyYoung63 Some MAGA voters may think like this, as do some independents and Dems, and that's perfectly acceptable for each of them.
But MAGA leadership is waging an unhinged campaign against Ukraine.
The only three things Dems need to move to the center on are:
1. DEI (it failed, time to go back to just not being racist)
2. Policing (it reduces crime by a lot, just go back to reasonable police reform)
3. Asylum (yes, illegally crossing the border to request asylum is bad)
@realspitfire Obama had a good working relationship with Medvedev. They signed nuclear disarmament treaties, neither of them started a war during that time. I don't blame Obama for trying to make it work with M, but for not realizing that the game changed when Putin took over again.
@whatyyetiagain@Mick_O_Keeffe@captivedreamer7 Tbh, Bush invading Iraq without good justification may have helped set Putin on his current path quite a bit.
(not that one injustice justifies another, of course)
@piersmorgan Very different situation. But let's say you have good reasons to not criticize Putin too much in public, if you then at the same time try to humiliate Zelensky in public, it still makes you look a weak bully.
